We are not elite runners, our members are family, friends, our children and neighbours and yes even our dogs (although our resident doggie member Sadie seems to think we are her pack when we are out for a run).   We are a fun-loving run group as witnessed by our virtual runs with our children and families in tow and tutus and costumes galore during the Summer! We are also part of a highly trained community of sport specialist coaches, trainers and therapists all working together to support your overall well-being and enhance your running experience.

For those who have training goals for the season, we also have dedicated training runs, such as our tempo runs; moving hills and speed play sessions on most Wednesday evenings.  We run (and yes even walk) on different terrains, road or trail - in darkness, rain, snow and/or in the heat. There are a variety of distances and paces in the group. Although we have set run days on  Tuesday; Wednesday and Thursday  evenings @ 6:30pm and Sunday mornings at 8;30am for the Fall and Winter - in general our group will arrange runs from Tuesday to Sunday to accommodate everyone's schedule. ​

Although we are currently housed at Velocity Sports Medicine in Mississauga (corner of Mississauga Rd and the Lakeshore) @ 167 Lakeshore Rd W. we will periodically meet and run from various locations. Advance notice of location changes will be provided to our members via email.
Our annual membership fee is: $50 per person. We invite new members to drop-in and attend the regular run sessions for a free two-week trial. 


Summer 2017 SCHEDULE

WHEN: Regular run sessions are Tuesdays; Wednesdays and  Thursdays at 6:30pm and Sundays at 8:30am. Optional run sessions are on Friday and Saturday.

DISTANCES:  Tuesday; Wednesday and Thursday: 7km - 16km and Sundays, 10km - 36km.

FEE:  Our annual Run Club membership fee is: $50 per person

REQUIREMENTS:  Safety first! Bring water, sports drinks, fuel, headlamps, flashlights and other items required for the safety and enjoyment of the run and the group. If you do run with music we do stress the one ear bud technique and awareness of your surroundings.
Runners of all paces are welcome; however, you must be able to run the distance specified for the sessions you are attending.

This program focuses on using a combined run/walk technique which allows the children to build confidence and endurance as they gradually build their running strength.
The program ends with the Little Gridders Race on Saturday, August 26th    


Ingrid Wilson has been a running coach in the Port Credit area for the past serveral years and has dedicated much of her time educating her runners on the fundamentals of efficient and safe running at any distance. Ingrid feels that there is no ego in running. This allows her and the group to focus on working hard on the runs without worrying about being the first or the fastest and just enjoy running with others who have similar running goals and philosophies. Although they have fun on the runs; Ingrid believes strongly that building endurance and strength leads to a better and more enjoyable run. Get ready, Ingrid runs no matter the weather.
