Elyse Della Rossa

Elyse Della Rossa graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University in 2008. She continued on to receive her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2010. Elyse is also a member of the Canadian ​​​​​​​​​​​Physiotherapy Association and is registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

Elyse has taken post graduate courses to further her knowledge in the physical therapy field. She successfully completed the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program. In addition, Elyse has also attended courses and seminars on soft tissue release, athletic taping, functional strengthening and pain.

Elyse enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions ranging from sport injuries to chronic persistent injuries and postural dysfunctions. Elyse takes a preventative approach to treatment whereby she addresses faulty movement patterns and corrects them early on to prevent future re-injury. Elyse believes that the best approach is to use a combination of manual therapy, soft tissue manipulation and acupuncture to treat tissue and joint restrictions and then provide specific exercises to improve flexibility and strength in order to restore normal movement patterns.

Elyse comes from a strong background in sport herself, a competitive figure skater for many years Elyse went on to become a skating instructor both for figure skating and power skating. She now enjoys playing hockey and football and is an avid cycler.

Sports Conditioning Experience

Elyse enjoys working with athletes and artists of all varieties and skill sets and strives to return them to the sport or activity they love. She has provided athletic training coverage for a variety of sports including varsity level soccer and rugby as well as semi-professional womens soccer and marathon events.
