Sports Performance Division | Youth Athletic Development

The Velocity Performance Division is a progression based system designed to give young athletes a solid foundation of athletic development at their most critical point of physical and mental growth; ages 14-22. Strength and Conditioning are a non-negotiable element in the schedule of a competitive athlete in any sport at this age. Velocity Sport  Performance Division will challenge and motivate athletes to develop their Pillar strength, speed, multi-directional agility, quickness, core rotary power, dynamic balance, acceleration/deceleration, anaerobic and aerobic energy systems, and recovery to maximize in-game performance and reduce the risk of injury both on and off the field. In-season and off-season, VELOCITY Performance programs are based on the foundational athletic needs found in all sport, Creating the best possible athlete is the goal of our programs…

2024 Youth Summer Training

Welcome to Velocity’s Summer Training where our Certified Sports Conditioning Specialists (Not Personal Trainers) focus on building a foundation of fundamental movement patterns, core stability, and sport-specific skills through bodyweight exercises, resistance training, plyometrics, balance drills, and coordination exercises. The goal is to enhance overall athletic performance while maintaining age appropriate protocols. Our style of training is proven to enhance all key areas of physical development while greatly reducing the risk of sports related injuries.

U13 Summer Training 2024

Monday & Wednesday at 5pm

  • At this age, we will provide a developmentally appropriate program designed to improve strength, power, agility, and coordination. The focus is on building a foundation of fundamental movement patterns, core stability, and sport-specific skills through bodyweight exercises, resistance training, plyometrics & balance drills.

U15 Summer Training 2024

Monday & Wednesday at 6pm

  • Functional training for U15 athletes follows a similar approach to U13 training, with a focus on developing strength, power, agility, and coordination.  Exercises and drills are tailored to the specific needs and abilities of U15 athletes to help them reach their full potential in their sport.

U16 Summer Training 2024

Monday & Wednesday at 7pm

  • U16 fitness will further extend this style of training with an increase in technique. As they get older and stronger, the risk of injury increases and therefore the importance of strong movement patterns to produce a strong body with increased muscle around the joints.

U18 Summer Training 2024

Monday & Wednesday at 8pm

  • The U18s will also engage in the importance of foundation and athletic fundamentals. This more physically mature group will be introduced to more advanced exercises and with a more emphasis on strength and power with conditioning drills to close the workouts.        

SMALL GROUP TRAINING

2 Athletes: $40 per person per session.

3 Athletes: $30 per person per session

4 Athletes: $25 per person per session.

  • Minimum 2 month commitment.
  • All prices include HST.
  • Price includes VALD Performance Assessment.

Running preliminary assessment tests is essential to assist your coach to create a plan that works best for you so that every effort you put into your training counts, whether your aim is to build strength, power, cardio output or recover from an injury.
